Why Red? Why not just choose another color?
It is our understanding that many people received the email and have been wearing the color red to support our troops for weeks, months, and possibly longer. Rather then reinventing the wheel, we simply decided to revamp it.
Where can I buy a “Red” shirt?
Do I have to buy a “Red” shirt or will any old red shirt work?
If you truly support the troops, you will want to buy a “Red” shirt. Proceeds from all shirts purchased from this site will go directly to well established non profit organizations that benefit active military personnel and veterans.
Is Red on Fridays a non profit organization?
Not yet, but we are thoroughly researching the process of becoming one, so we may better serve the needs of the troops and veterans we are supporting.
I love the idea of showing “solidarity and support for our troops” but, quite frankly, I cannot see how wearing a red shirt on Fridays does either. I think that if we truly wish to support our troops, then the best way to do so would be by electing politicians who would allow our soldiers to not only FIGHT this “war”, but to WIN IT and then COME HOME!!!! Instead we allow BOTH “Parties” to run candidates who are more concerned with handing out huge “contracts” to their “political Backers” and who make their decisions based on what is good for “THE PARTY” rather than what is good for the Nation, the American People, and the troops which we ALL “claim” to support. As long as WE, the voters of this country, allow this to continue then I would suggest that instead of “red shirts” we should all be wearing red gloves to show that at least we REALIZE that the blood of our boys that is being shed over there is on OUR hands!!!
Yeah, you can wear any old red shirt. The people at my place of work wear red every friday….it doesnt have to be just one kind of shirt as long as it is RED! Nor do folks have to buy your shirt!! People can show support without getting hooked up on..well..it has to be this exact shirt, that exact color red etc…as long as its a red shirt and as long as its on Friday, put it on and Hooray for our Troops!!! God Bring ‘Em HOME SOOOOON!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks!!!!!!!!!
It’s March 30th 2007 - What happened to the shirts?
I found this site as I received one of those emails about red friday today. Naturally, I checked on the web to see if this was a real movement or just another email chain letter.
Looks like it’s not really an organized effort as I have not yet noticed a lot of people here in NYC wearing red on Fridays.
If you want to get it going for real you need media coverage (preferably TV News or talk shows like The View or Regis & Kelly).
